Change your name, username or email
Change your name and username in Settings, see where each one shows, and ask us to change the email address you log in with.
EssentialsCreatorBusinessAcademyFor: Account owner, Workspace admin, Editor, Viewer
When you're done, your name and username are how you want them, and you know how to change your email.
Who can do this: everyone with an account, on any plan or none. You can only change your own details.
Change your name or username
- Open Settings. The first card holds your details.
- Change your Full name (1) or Username (2). Usernames use 3 to 40 lowercase letters, numbers and dashes. Capital letters turn into lowercase as you type.
- Click Save changes (3). "Saved"
Where they show
- Full name: the greeting on your dashboard, the bottom of the menu, your public profile page, and what people see when you share a workspace with them or invite them. If you leave it empty, the dashboard greets you by your username.
- Username: your public profile's address,
https://www.chirpbuilder.com/u/your-username. As the note under the box says, "It's also your public profile address, so changing it changes that link." The old address stops working. See Your public profile page.
Your email
Email, at the top of the card, is greyed out, because you can't change it yourself. Under it: "To change your email address, email joanaltres@dfydata.com." Write from the address you have now, and say which one you'd like instead.
It's the address you log in with. New-lead alerts and our replies to your requests go there too.
Good to know
- Your password is changed at the bottom of the same card, with Change password: see Reset or change your password.
- In a workspace someone shared with you, Settings says which workspace you're in and who shared it. The card with your name and username is still your own.
- There's no button to delete your account. To have it deleted, email joanaltres@dfydata.com.
If it doesn't work
- "Username: 3–40 lowercase letters, numbers or dashes."
- "That username is taken." Try another.
