Find your way around the dashboard

What each part of the menu does, and what the cards on your dashboard tell you.

EssentialsCreatorBusinessAcademyFor: Account owner, Workspace admin, Editor, Viewer

Your dashboard is where you build and manage your Chirps. It opens when you log in, and you can always get back to it with Dashboard at the top of the menu.

The dashboard: the menu (1), your AI account (2) and this month's AI cost (3).

The menu (1)

The menu on the left is on every dashboard page:

  • Dashboard: this overview.
  • Chirps: create, edit, organize and share your Chirps.
  • Collections: pages that show several Chirps together (Creator, Business and Academy plans).
  • Templates: ready-made Chirps to start from. The first templates are on their way.
  • Import: move your Custom GPTs with Claude or ChatGPT, or upload a Chirp package.
  • Analytics: conversations, messages, visitors and what your Chirps cost on OpenRouter.
  • Leads: the names and emails your lead forms collect.
  • Billing: your Chirp Builder plan.
  • Settings: your profile and OpenRouter key, plus workspaces, custom domains, email services and the AI apps you've connected.
  • Help: these guides, and a way to ask us when you're stuck.

If you have more than one workspace, Workspace at the top of the menu shows which one you're working in. Your name and Log out are at the bottom. If someone shared their workspace with you, you see only the parts your role allows.

The cards

The cards cover the workspace you're working in.

  • Your plan: your Chirp Builder plan and whether it's active.
  • AI account (2): whether your OpenRouter key is connected, the last four characters of the key, and about how much credit is left at OpenRouter. Your Chirps answer only while this says Connected and there's credit.
  • Messages this month: messages your Chirps answered for visitors. See usage opens Analytics.
  • AI cost this month (3): about what your Chirps cost on your OpenRouter account this month, your own test chats included. See See what your Chirps cost.
  • Chirps: how many Chirps you have, not counting archived ones. Below the number: how many are live (published as Unlisted or Public), how many are drafts, and, if you have any, how many are archived.

Below the cards, Your Chirps shows your latest Chirps, with See all and Create Chirp.

When something needs you

A banner at the top of the dashboard tells you when your Chirps can't answer, with a button that takes you to the fix:

Until your OpenRouter key is connected, the dashboard reminds you.
  • Connect your OpenRouter key so your Chirps can answer. Click Connect key, then follow Connect your OpenRouter key.
  • Your OpenRouter key isn't working, so your Chirps can't answer, or Your OpenRouter account is out of credit, so your Chirps can't answer. Click Fix it to go to the key in Settings.
  • One of your Chirps uses an AI model that OpenRouter no longer offers. Click See Chirps and choose another model for it: see Choose your Chirp's AI model.
  • This workspace isn't included in your current plan, so its Chirps don't answer visitors. Move its Chirps to another workspace, or change your plan.
