Take a quiz
Take a lesson's quiz, see your score and the answers, and try again if you have attempts left.
When you're done, you've taken the quiz and seen how you did.
Who this is for: students, on lessons with a quiz.
Take the quiz
The quiz is at the end of the lesson. Above it you can see how many questions it has, the pass mark, how many attempts you get and any time limit. A Practice quiz doesn't count toward anything.
-
Click Start the quiz. If there's a time limit, the timer starts now.
-
Answer one question at a time. For questions that say "Choose every answer that's right", tick all that apply. Next and Previous move between questions.
One question at a time; Next moves on, and the last question has Submit quiz. -
On the last question, click Submit quiz. If you skipped a question, you're asked first.
Your answers are saved as you go, so you can close the page and come back to an open attempt. The timer keeps running while the page is closed. If the time limit runs out, your saved answers are marked automatically.
Your result
You see your score and whether you passed. Depending on the quiz, you also see the right answers and explanations: straight away, only once you pass, or not at all.
- Try again starts another attempt, if you have one left. Your best result counts.
- Some quizzes make you wait between attempts. The quiz then says when you can try again, in your own time, and Try again comes back at that time.
- If you must pass the quiz to complete the lesson, the lessons after it open once you pass. If you've used every attempt without passing, contact your teacher.
During a quiz, the tutor may work as usual, give only hints, or be off until you submit: see Ask the course tutor.
