Set up your Academy

Name your Academy, choose its web address, and add a tagline, description, logo and color.

AcademyFor: Account owner, Workspace admin

When you're done, your Academy has a name, a web address students can visit, and your own logo and color.

Who can do this: the account owner on the Academy plan. Editors see the Academy's name and link, but not these settings.

Create your Academy

  1. In the menu, click Academy.
  2. Under Set up your Academy, type a Name, such as "Nora's Baking School".
  3. The Address fills itself in from the name. Your Academy will be at www.chirpbuilder.com/learn/ followed by this address. Change it if you like: 3 to 60 lowercase letters, numbers and dashes.
  4. Click Create Academy.

Each workspace has its own Academy. To set one up for another workspace, switch to it with Workspace at the top of the menu first.

Add a tagline, logo and more

  1. Click Edit Academy at the top of the Academy page.
  2. Fill in what you need:
    • Address (1): you can change it, but links with the old address stop working when you do. Pick the one you want before you share it.
    • Tagline: one line. It's the big heading on your Academy's home page.
    • About the Academy: a few sentences under the heading.
    • Logo: click Upload to add an image. It appears on your Academy's pages, in the lessons and on certificates.
    • Color: the accent color of your Academy's pages and certificates. Default goes back to blue.
    • Course catalog (2): Public lets search engines list your Academy's home page; Unlisted keeps it to people who have the link.
  3. Click Save.
The address (1) is where students find your Academy; Course catalog (2) decides whether search engines may list it.
