Ways to create and move Chirps
Build a Chirp yourself, or bring your Custom GPTs over with Claude or ChatGPT, then test, publish and look after it.

There are two ways to get a Chirp: build it yourself in the editor, or bring a Custom GPT over. You can have as many Chirps as you like on every plan.
Build one yourself
On the Chirps page, click Create Chirp (1). You give it a name, instructions and conversation starters, then save, test and publish it.

- Every option: Create a Chirp by hand
Bring your Custom GPTs over
Under Import (2) in the menu, you can:
- Let your AI app do the moving. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app once, and it reads the GPT folders on your computer and sets each one up as a draft Chirp. See Move your Custom GPTs with your AI app.
- Upload a package. A zipped GPT folder, or an export from Chirp Builder, comes in as draft Chirps. See Export Chirps and import a package.
Then look after it
- Test your Chirp in the preview before anyone else sees it.
- Publish, update or unpublish a Chirp when it's ready.
- Go back to an earlier version if a change didn't work out.
- Keep the list tidy with folders, and duplicate, archive or delete Chirps.
