Duplicate, archive or delete a Chirp

Copy a Chirp to start a new one, archive it to put it away, or delete it for good.

EssentialsCreatorBusinessAcademyFor: Account owner, Workspace admin, Editor

Each Chirp on your Chirps page has a ••• menu with these and other actions.

The ••• menu: Duplicate (1), Archive (2), Delete (3).

Duplicate a Chirp (1)

  1. On the Chirps page, click ••• on the Chirp's card, then Duplicate.
  2. Chirp Builder makes a copy called "(name) (copy)" and opens it.

The copy is always a Draft, so nobody sees it until you publish it. It has the same settings, instructions, starters, model and branding, and its own copies of the knowledge files. These aren't copied: saved versions, the lead form and access settings such as the access code. Actions don't come over with their API keys (and when the owner duplicates, they don't come over at all), so check the copy's 7. Actions section.

Who can do this: anyone who can edit Chirps. The knowledge files count towards your storage.

Archive a Chirp (2)

Archiving puts a Chirp away without deleting anything.

  1. Click •••, then Archive. (Or, in the editor, Archive this Chirp at the bottom of 8. Sharing.)
  2. The Chirp leaves your list and visitors who open its link see Chirp not found.

To bring it back, click Archived at the top of the Chirps page, then ••• and Bring back on its card. It returns exactly as it was, published or not.

Who can do this: anyone who can publish the Chirp.

Delete a Chirp (3)

Deleting can't be undone.

  1. Click •••, then Delete.
  2. Confirm: "Delete (name) and its files? This can't be undone."

This deletes the Chirp, its knowledge files, saved versions, Actions and their keys, its lead form settings and its place in any Collection. Leads it already collected stay on your Leads page. Visitors' chats were only ever kept in their own browsers.

Who can do this: only the account owner or a workspace admin. If you might want the Chirp again, archive it, or export it first.
