When you're done, you've found the guide you need in a few seconds.

**Who this is for:** everyone, signed in or not.

## Search

1. Type a few words in a search box: on the Help Center home, at the top of every topic and guide
page, or on the **Help** page in your dashboard.
2. Press Enter or click **Search**.

![Help Center search results for connect OpenRouter: the heading 12 guides for "connect OpenRouter" and the first 8 results, such as Connect your OpenRouter key and What OpenRouter is, and who pays for what, each with its topic and a sentence from it.](https://mjmtbasmrtksluvlnema.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/help-media/web-optimized/support/search/SS-HELP-010-01__results__public__desktop__v01.webp?v=03122f23d3)

The results list up to 12 guides, each with its topic and a sentence from it. Click a title to open it.

From your dashboard, open **Help** in the menu (1) and use the search box at the top (2). The results
open in the Help Center.

![Maya's dashboard Help page: Help in the menu (1) and the Search the Help Center box at the top of the page (2), above the Help Center, Bring over a Custom GPT and Your OpenRouter key cards.](https://mjmtbasmrtksluvlnema.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/help-media/web-optimized/support/search/SS-HELP-010-02__dashboard-help__essentials__desktop__v01.webp?v=8bec2c21b0)

## What it looks for

- **Guide titles** count most, then each guide's keywords, its summary, its headings and its text.
- **Button names and messages** you see in the app, like "Check & connect", find the guide about them.
- **Old names work:** GPT or bot finds Chirps guides; API or token finds guides about keys.
- **The start of a word is enough** when you type at least 4 letters: "conn" finds "connect".
- **Small words** like "how", "do" and "the" are left out.

## If nothing is found

"Nothing found for …" means no guide has those words. "Try fewer or different words, or browse the
topics below." Check the spelling (there's no spelling correction), use the word on the button, or pick
a topic under **Browse by topic**.

## Good to know

- **You can share a search:** the address of the results page has your words in it.
