When you're done, you'll know what changed in a Chirp, when, and whether it was you or an AI app.

**Who can do this:** anyone who can open the Chirp in the editor, on any plan.

## Open the history

1. Open the Chirp and scroll to **History** at the very bottom.
2. Click it to open the list.

![The History section open: a list of dated changes such as Created the Chirp and Published changes, each with where it came from.](https://mjmtbasmrtksluvlnema.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/help-media/web-optimized/chirps/history/SS-CHIRP-055-01__history__essentials__detail__v01.webp?v=0861be9143)

Each row shows the date, what changed and where the change came from, such as the builder or one of your
AI apps. You'll see things like **Created the Chirp**, **Changed the instructions**, **Published
changes**, **Added the knowledge file** and **Archived the Chirp**. The list shows the latest 30
changes. Changes to who can open the Chirp (password, invitations, email access), to its lead form and
to folders aren't listed.

## Undo a change

History is a record only; it can't undo anything. To go back to how the Chirp was, restore a saved
version: see [Go back to an earlier version](https://www.chirpbuilder.com/help/chirps/saved-versions). To throw away changes you haven't
published yet, click **Discard** in the bar at the top of the editor.
