# Your account and your data

> What the Academy sees about you, how to download a copy of your data, and how to delete your account.

When you're done, you know what's kept about you, and you've downloaded or deleted it if you wanted to.

**Who this is for:** students, signed in to the Academy.

## What the Academy sees

The Academy (your teacher and their team) sees your name, your email address, which courses you have a
place on, your progress and the lessons you completed, your quiz scores and whether you passed, your
certificates, and when you were last active. It sees how many students got each quiz question right,
but not which answers you picked.

Your conversations with the AI tutor stay in your browser on your device. Chirp Builder doesn't keep
them and the Academy can't read them. To answer, your questions are sent to an AI provider.

## Download your data

At the bottom of **My courses**, under **Your account**, click **Download my data** (1). You get a file
(JSON) with your courses, progress, lessons completed, quiz attempts with your answers, learning paths
and certificates.

## Delete your account

1. Under **Your account**, click **Delete my account** (2).
2. Type your email address to confirm, and click **Delete**.

This deletes your places on the Academy's courses, all your progress, your quiz attempts and your
certificates, whose check links stop working. It can't be undone. It applies to this Academy only. You
can sign in again later, but you start over.

## If the Academy is closed

While an Academy is closed, you can't sign in, so you can't download your data, delete your account or
download a certificate there. Certificate check pages keep working. Contact the Academy.
